Christmas At The Power Company

In Georgia Power's halls, under the warm Southern sun,

Folks gather 'round, knowing Christmas has begun.

Engineers and linemen, accountants in their row,

Celebrate the season, with hearts all aglow.

From Savannah's mossy oaks, to Atlanta's bustling streets,

They share tales of Jesus, his story so sweet.

In break rooms and offices, over currents that hum,

They speak of a manger, where hope has come from.

Technicians with tool belts, and hard hats so bright,

Pause in their labor to reflect on that night.

When stars shone down on a baby so dear,

Bringing love and salvation, to all far and near.

As they string up the lights, making the night shine,

They recall Bethlehem, sacred and divine.

In every task, be it big or be it small,

They see the work of Him, who came to save all.

So here's to you folks, with Christmas cheer,

Celebrating Jesus, year after year.

In every substation, every plant, every line,

They share the joy of Christmas time.

In this moment of quiet reflection, I hope you find a renewed sense of hope, while remembering just how loved we are to have been blessed with the presence of Almighty God in human form, the one we know as Jesus!
